I just celebrated my birthday!!!!! I had a sleepover with some of my best friends at my house. It was a lot of fun! We did a spa night (girly huh?!). I got really nice, homemade presents and cards. It is SO amazing to have friends who are creative with their hands. Sadly, I only have the gift of writing, not art. :( The night of the sleepover, we watched Mulan, which has AMAZING music! So with my B-day money, I bought the Mulan soundtrack, necklace that Arwen has in the LotR movies, the 3 Lord of the Rings extended version of the movies, and other misc. items! Then after all that, I went to another of my best friend's for a sleepover! It was so nice getting together with all my friends again! : ) And then on Sunday afternoon, after church, my grandma, mom, and I went to Red Lobster to celebrate my birthday, since Sunday was my actual birthday. And, if you are thinking that I'm just a spoiled only child, please don't. I'm just thankful for a loving family and a loving Father. Thanks again God, for letting me be born!

P.S. These are the pics. of what I bought with my own B-Day money! These aren't the EXACT copies of what I got, but the same kind of things.

I changed my blog background/design, so please let me know if you like it! I added some pictures of me posing with my elf ears as well as some other pictures, on 'My Life', and I added  1 or 2 more videos. Thanks for reading!

Please pray for my grandmother. She is 83, and she has to have dialysis. She started today. She lives with my family. Dialysis is something that people have to get done whenever their kidneys stop functioning. She goes to a dialysis center 3 days a week, for 4 hours each day. The object is for her blood to be cleansed, so they put needles into her to cleanse the blood. She will start to feel better in the next 6 weeks. So please pray that she becomes comfortable with this, and doesn't get lonely. A lot of the people there look sad or lonely, so I pray that she doesn't become one of them! I think she feels a little sad about this, but about 9 of her friends called her today to cheer her up and ask her how she did. Praise God! : )

I just got back from visiting my relatives! We had a big dinner, and I played Wii for the first time! My body is still sore... I jumped over logs, I ran, I played jump-rope, I did baseball, tennis, and boxing! Boxing was especially fun, and I won against many huge 'guys'. Ok, so they're little people in a TV screen, but still! I also went out there to celebrate my B-day (Nov. 1st) with one of my best friends who lives out there! Her B-Day is close to mine, so we did a double party. I also went to a creepy Halloween store. (shudders) All the things were either: (1). Gory or (2). Sleazy.
Like, I saw bloodied hands hanging from meat hooks, or else I saw outfits for adult women called 'The Sexy Firefighter'. I mean, really. How corny can you get?!?!?This is such a crazy world. But, anyway, the reason I went there was to look for elf ears! And I found them! I had so much fun showing them off, hearing the gasps, and having my family say, "Wow, they look so natural! You really look like an elf!"
Victory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did an interview with Dandi Daley Mackall! Check it out at the Book Pond! I also added pictures of the authors to all of the author interviews I have done, so feel free to check it out at Book Pond.

I wrote a paper about my grandfather, who passed away in 2006. It was written for my Composition class, and I uploaded it in 'My Works'. Also, I uploaded a paper my friend Andrea Joy wrote for the class. It's a really good paper, so please check it out at the 'Book Pond'!

I changed the color on some of the other pages. I changed it from light blue to a darker blue, so hopefully you can see the words better!

A few days ago I went with my Youth Group to a place called Lincoln Cavern in PA. It was a little disconcerting knowing that I was going hundreds of feet down into the earth where there IS NO AIR!!!! I'm such a great person to take underground...... Not. I don't think I really panicked outwardly, other than setting my face like I'm walking to my doom. No, actually at first, I was pretty scared, but then as we got deeper, I got used to the cool air, which I LOVE!! And I saw 2 cute little bats! A couple days ago I went to an amusement park named 'Knoebels'. It was big!!! It was a family friendly park. My friend's B-Day party was held there, and I even surprised myself and got on a flume! And, yes, I do ride things that are fast. ( Like my mom's driving on back roads). But I kinda prefer things a little closer to the ground! Like little kiddie rides. Just kidding!! Anyway, the flume dropped straight down into a pool of water. I asked my friend if she could scream with me, and she happily agreed. It was embarrassing though, when I realized that 5 year old boys were happily grinning when they dropped down. But my excuse is that I am a delicate female..... ; ) (R-i-g-h-t...) I'm not usually a screamer. I usually either have a face like a stone (as in, I'm not ready to die!!!), or I do a little shriek. But that day, I wanted to break my silent record. And break it I did!!! All day I had trouble talking because of my hoarse throat. But it was fun! And my friend really helped me! I mean, a friend is someone willing to scream WITH you. If you ever go to 'Knoebels', you should get their cheese fries. Oh, sooooo good!!!!! So, other than that, my life is pretty normal. Well, as normal as it can get with school (shudders). I REFUSE to submit to its harness! I will persevere!!! ; )

~Signing Off, Katie (Oh, I love doing that!)

Wow, I haven't been on in awhile! I've been really busy with starting school. I have some subjects that are taught by my mom, and then I have 2 online classes. Those two just started this week. I like them a lot! My teachers are really good so far. I was so afraid that Composition would be extremely hard, but it wasn't! Of course, it was challenging... My history class is doing well too. I'm reading Eusebius: the Church History. (Insert scary music here...) Just kidding! I also spent the last 2 weekends having sleepovers, because they're our last summer sleepovers.  My family is getting a new laptop, and because we got a deal, we got a free Ipod Touch! YAY!!!!!!! So, of course, my mom is taking my used nano. But first I have to teach her how to use it, which will take forever. I don't really know what to write about, so I'll take suggestions if you have any!!! : )
Oh! I almost forgot! I just finished watching all three Lord of the Rings movies! I read the books a couple years ago, but I didn't really understand the books. I really enjoy watching the orcs die, not to sound weird or anything. But, just so you know, I have trouble watching movies where PEOPLE die. My logic is that people have souls, and orcs do not. Seriously, I freak out over a dead body with no blood in the dark, in a murder mystery. So I'm not completely crazy. Just FYI.

I just did an author interview with Wayne Thomas Batson! Check it out at the Book Pond!
